A research team consisting of Ridho Harta, Elisa Susanti, Muhammad Andi Septiadi, and Siti Alia explores how Indonesia’s education system transformed during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the shift from conventional face-to-face learning to distance learning.
The study finds that government policies adapted rapidly to sustain education continuity. However, challenges remain, especially in remote areas with poor connectivity and limited infrastructure. The research also underscores the need to reassess zoning policies and strengthen support systems to build resilience in the education sector.
This work is strongly connected to SDG 4: Quality Education, as it provides insights on how to ensure inclusive, equitable, and adaptive learning opportunities for all students, even during times of crisis. By addressing both the progress and the gaps, the study highlights the need for education systems that can withstand future challenges.
