Integrity in Action: FISIP Unpad’s Commitment to SDG 16

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Padjadjaran demonstrates a steadfast dedication to Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16), focusing on the development of effective, accountable, and corruption-free institutions. This dedication is anchored in the Rector’s Regulation No. 14 of 2024 concerning the Guideline on the Lecturer’s Code of Ethics, serving as a foundational guide for all members of the academic community. Grounded in the primary value of integrity, the faculty champions honesty, justice through the avoidance of conflicts of interest, trustworthiness, and responsibility in all its actions.

The active policy categorically forbids all members of the academic community from accepting any form of bribery or gratification that could compromise the objectivity of decision-making. Furthermore, rigorous conflict of interest management is enforced, mandating that all lecturers and administrative officials proactively disclose any potential conflicts involving personal, familial, or financial interests during institutional activities. A zero-tolerance stance is adopted towards the abuse of authority, whereby the misuse of a position or university resources for personal benefit is strictly prohibited.

To guarantee the policy’s enforcement, a structured reporting system has been established by the university, ensuring complete protection for whistleblowers from any form of reprisal. Through these initiatives, FISIP Unpad strives to cultivate a transparent and accountable academic atmosphere, fostering graduates of high character who are equipped to act as catalysts for change toward a more just and civilized society.
