FISIP Unpad Strengthens Curriculum with Courses on Sustainability and SDG 15

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Padjadjaran demonstrates its commitment to SDG 15: Life on Land by embedding sustainability themes into its academic curriculum. Based on course syllabi (RPS), there are 13 courses across multiple study programs that directly engage with issues of biodiversity, land use, and environmental governance.

Among them are Community Development (Anthropology), which emphasizes community participation in managing local resources; The Business of Tourism (Business Administration), which explores sustainable tourism practices; Governmental Ecology and Development Planning (Government Science), which highlight ecological approaches in governance; Population Sociology and Cultural Sociology (Sociology), which address demographic and cultural dimensions of sustainability; and Environmental Politics (Political Science), which focuses on the policy aspects of ecological conservation. Through these courses, FISIP Unpad equips students with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical insights to address sustainability challenges, ensuring that future graduates can contribute meaningfully to ecosystem preservation and sustainable development.
