A team of researchers—Arif Zainudin, Dede Sri K, Utang Suwaryo, and Neneng Yani Yuningsih studied how research on social inclusion has grown and how it connects to public services. Using Scopus data (2005–2023) and CiteSpace analysis, they explored research trends, key authors, widely cited studies, and global developments in this field.
The study shows that social inclusion research has gone through three stages: early development, slow growth, and rapid growth. While Europe and the United States first advanced this research, Asia is now playing an increasingly important role. Topics include comfort and inclusion, physical literacy, life course perspectives, and governance in public services.
This work supports SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by offering a framework of inclusive services that governments can apply to create more equal, participatory, and accessible public systems.
