This article, authored by Rachmat Koesnadi, Bintarsih Sekarningrum, M. Fadhil Nurdin, and R. Widya Setiabudi from Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, was published in 2025 in Review of Integrative Business and Economics Research.

This research explores social practices in the use of financial products and services by beneficiary families of the Family Hope Programme (PKH) in Bogor Regency, Indonesia. Utilizing a sequential explanatory mixed-method approach, it combines quantitative data from surveys of 399 families with qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with 13 families.

The study reveals three main patterns of social practices: physical actions in using transaction channels, social interactions related to family roles in overcoming transaction constraints and challenges, and decision-making in managing family funds. These findings highlight the potential for enhanced financial literacy and inclusion, emphasizing variations due to cultural and economic differences across regions.
