FISIP Unpad Advances Inclusive Education to Support SDG 10

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Padjadjaran is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable academic environment by implementing non-discriminatory principles in the student admission process. This commitment aligns with Unpad’s vision and supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: Reduced Inequalities.

This policy ensures that all prospective students have equal opportunities for admission, regardless of their background, including individuals with disabilities. The implementation of this policy is reflected in the provision of supporting facilities, such as dedicated pathways and accessible infrastructure, enabling students with special needs to engage comfortably in academic activities.

For instance, in the Political Science program, there is a student who uses a wheelchair and has been fully accommodated to ensure smooth participation in classes. Similarly, in the Social Welfare program, there is a student who is deaf, and the faculty provides necessary accommodations such as sign language interpreters and inclusive teaching methods to facilitate effective learning.

Furthermore, the orientation program for new students is designed to be disability-friendly and free from any form of discrimination, ensuring an equal and inclusive experience for all.
