The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Padjadjaran University is dedicated to fostering a workplace that upholds gender equality and promotes decent work for all, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals 5 (Gender Equality) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Our commitment is reflected in the policies we have implemented regarding equal pay and maternity leave, ensuring a fair and supportive environment for all faculty members.
Our faculty strictly adheres to national laws, governmental regulations, rector regulations, and rector decrees to ensure equal pay across all levels. By doing so, we guarantee that all employees, regardless of gender, receive equal pay for equal work. This policy complies with legal standards and reinforces our commitment to fostering an equitable workplace where every individual’s contributions are valued and compensated fairly.
Recognizing the importance of supporting our employees during key life events, we also provide comprehensive maternity leave policies. Women are entitled to take maternity leave up to one month before birth and two months after birth, ensuring ample time for recovery and bonding with their newborns. Importantly, maternity leave is fully paid, reflecting our commitment to maintaining financial security for our employees during this critical time.
Employees wishing to take maternity leave must submit a written request to the relevant officials, in line with established procedures. This process ensures that all maternity leave requests are handled with the care and attention they deserve, further supporting our goal of creating a family-friendly and inclusive workplace.
Once again, The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Padjadjaran University remains committed to creating a workplace where gender equality and decent work are not just ideals but realities. Through the rigorous implementation of policies on equal pay and maternity leave, we continue to support our employees and contribute to a more just and equitable society.
