2023 Community Service Data: Activities Related to Health Services

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Padjadjaran University continues to play a pivotal role in improving community health through various targeted initiatives. In 2023, our faculty engaged in a range of community service activities, all designed to enhance health services and contribute to the well-being of local communities, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

Key initiatives include the “Development of Village Business Administration Based on the Tourism Potential of Cintakarya Village to Improve Household Economies in Support of Stunting Prevention,” led by Dr. Drs. H. Bambang Hermanto, M.Si from the Department of Business Administration. This project focused on leveraging local tourism to bolster economic stability, thereby supporting efforts to prevent stunting.

Additionally, Dr. Dra. Sri Sulastri, M. Si from the Department of Social Welfare spearheaded the “Development of Social Resilience at the Village Level for Stunting Prevention,” which aimed to strengthen community structures to mitigate stunting risks. Another significant effort was the “Jatinangor GEBER Zero Stunting” project, directed by Erna Herawati, S.Ant.,M.A., Ph.D. from the Department of Anthropology, focusing on a comprehensive approach to eliminate stunting in Jatinangor.

Lastly, the “Building Collaborative Governance for Waste Management in Cileunyi Wetan Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency Based on SDGs,” led by Dr. Drs. H. Herijanto Bekti, M.Si from the Department of Public Administration, addressed waste management as a critical component of public health and sustainability.

These projects highlight our faculty’s commitment to fostering healthier communities through sustainable and impactful interventions, demonstrating the vital role of academia in addressing public health challenges.
