Strengthening Campus Safety: FISIP UNPAD and the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment Collaborate to Combat Sexual Violence

In its effort to foster a safe, supportive, and violence-free academic environment, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Padjadjaran has established a partnership with the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia. Conducted from July to September 2024, this collaboration was primarily aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS Task Force) within higher education institutions.

The program also engaged active participation from both male and female students, who contributed as research assistants and field assistants. Their involvement not only reinforced the spirit of collaboration but also underscored the vital role of the younger generation in realizing campuses free from sexual violence.

Through this strategic collaboration, FISIP Unpad reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of Satgas PPKS while advancing its role in creating a gender-sensitive, inclusive academic environment fully aligned with the objectives of SDG 5: Gender Equality.
