Women’s Leadership in Cooperative and Social Movement in the Issue of Food Waste: Evidence from Bandung City

This study explores the pivotal role of women’s leadership in cooperatives and social movements addressing food waste in Bandung City. Findings show that women leaders mobilize communities, promote sustainable consumption, and implement redistribution initiatives that reduce food waste and strengthen urban food security.

Conducted by scholars from FISIP Universitas Padjadjaran, the research highlights how women leaders bridge formal and informal networks, foster collaboration, and generate environmental, economic, and social benefits. The paper was published in World Development Sustainability (Scopus Q1), underscoring the international recognition of FISIP UNPAD’s commitment to sustainability research.
