On January 31, 2023, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, has welcomed the educational visit from the delegation team of Slovenia, lead by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. During the visit, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences has also successfully held a hybrid special seminar on “Governance and Development Issues in the Global South and Global North”, which was attended by around 150 participants.
The seminar invited three speakers, Prof. Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela and Prof. Miroljub Ignjatovic from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, who give their lectures on the topics of gender equality and labor market in Europe respectively, also Prof. Ida Widianingsih from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran who share her lecture on the trajectory of community network in Indonesia.
In his remarks, the Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Dr. Widya Setiabudi Sumadinata, highligthed that sustainable collaboration has become crucial to address the current challenges of global higher education. He believes that the fruitful cooperation between the two institutions could be strengthened and nurtured through diverse research and teaching activities. With the existing cooperation started from 2017, the Faculty of Social Sciences of Ljubljana University and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Padjadjaran has commited to continue their partnership.
